Volunteering

As a volunteer in this summer camp project, you will support community engagement activities. You’ll take part in hands-on programs that bring together volunteers and local community members - from creative, inclusive workshops to supportive social interactions - offering valuable experiences beyond the classroom. Volunteers will help build community spirit, assist with workshop delivery and team activities, and connect with people across generations in a caring and inclusive environment. You will play a key role in boosting the children’s self-confidence, building trust, and bringing joy into their lives. All roles are designed to be accessible to candidates with or without prior experience and offer a unique opportunity to learn about social support work in Hungary and contribute to positive change.

Accommodation and Food

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program. There is no participation fee, and all volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms. The host will provide three meals a day (hot meals for lunch and dinner), with the team rotating to cook, supported by local camp leaders and youth workers. Each volunteer will also receive €7 per day as pocket money. Travel costs to the project location will be reimbursed based on the distance after participation. All necessary equipment for the tasks will be provided.
