Seeds of Solidarity 4.0 is a long-term ESC volunteering project in Szécsény, Hungary, where you’ll join an international team of eight volunteers to support children and youth with fewer opportunities through non-formal education and community-based activities.
What You’ll Do
- Engage with local schools and youth centers to organize creative workshops and non-formal learning sessions
- Work with children and youth (ages 6-21), supporting their development through interactive activities
- Provide open youth work services and leisure-time programs at Egyesek’s own youth center
- Help facilitate English learning using non-formal educational methods
- Support local initiatives in the youth community center of Egyesek
- Assist in international training courses, youth exchanges, and workcamps at Egyesek’s Creative Space in Hollókő
- Develop your own project or initiative with professional guidance

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program. There is no participation fee. Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms in the volunteers house in Szécsény. Each volunteer will receive 7 EUR/day pocket money and 4 EUR/day food allowance as well. The evenings and weekends will be free to explore the village and the nature around. Travel expenses from your home country to Szécsény will be reimbursed according to the distance (mostly 309 EUR budget).
