Would you like to better support others, strengthen your leadership skills, and feel more confident when facing unexpected situations?
Stepping into leadership roles in international projects is challenging—feeling lost, frustrated, or limited is part of the process. There are no universal solutions, but with practice, reflection, and the right tools, it can get easier and more rewarding.
What helped us, with over 10 years of experience, was self-reflection, practical tools, and repeated application. This TC is hands-on, focusing on practice before theory, and offers simple tools that balance playfulness and challenge to make learning real and engaging.
Who is this training for?
We are organising this training course for young people*, who
- have experience as participants of youth projects**
- are planning on joining workcamps and/or youth exchanges as leaders
- are looking for ways to step into more responsibility
- are willing to put into practice their learnings after the training course.
*The training course is mainly for young people aged between 18 and 35.
**In the context of this project, by youth project we mainly mean International Voluntary Service (IVS) workcamps, European Solidarity Corps (ESC) short-term volunteering projects and Erasmus+ youth exchanges.
Practice and implementation
This training course is mainly for those young people who will lead workcamps or join youth exchanges as group leaders, in projects organised by Egyesek Youth Association and its partners in the spring and summer of 2026. Before applying to this training course, we ask you to think over whether you can fulfil these implementation criteria. You can read about being a workcamp leader and a group leader, and you can browse through the current opportunities we offer by clicking here.
You might have the opportunity to travel abroad to support projects organised by the partners of Egyesek. However, our focus is to first fill up the workcamp and group leader positions of Egyesek's projects.
To support this process, before and after the training course, Egyesek's professionals will offer mentoring and support with finding the right opportunity for each participant.
