Best Practices from Civil Communities in the Carpathian Region
You can explore how Egyesek contributed to the development of the online publication Good Practices from Civil Communities in the Carpathian Region, which showcases inspiring examples of civic participation across the region. The publication not only features our organization’s good practices, but was also created with the active contribution of Egyesek and forms an integral part of this study.
The publication presents a total of 15 initiatives from five countries, with three good practices from each country implemented by civil society organizations. You will see how we worked together with partner organizations to demonstrate how local communities and civil actors can effectively mobilize citizens, strengthen participation in public life, and develop innovative solutions to local challenges.
The featured initiatives cover a wide range of community-driven activities. Among others, you will find examples of:
- encouraging youth participation in public life,
- creating new community spaces and institutions,
- strengthening local culture and good neighborly relations,
- mobilizing communities around shared causes, and
- supporting vulnerable groups such as migrants and internally displaced persons.
The publication clearly reflects the diversity of approaches used across the region and highlights the impact of collaboration among civil society organizations. It also offers you the opportunity to gain inspiration, exchange experiences, and learn about best practices that can be adapted to other local contexts.
The publication was developed within the framework of the Carpathian Civil Society Platform, which connects civil society organizations across the region and supports cooperation and mutual learning.
