Keys For Change Reloaded
Apply now!

Keys For Change Reloaded is a 12-months project with 3 consecutive, residential, and international trainings for trainers and additional support for participants in realizing their own educational activities. Our aim is to pass on the experiences we gathered in the last 15 years about educating and training young people and youth workers and train a new generation of trainers ready to apply our methodologies and educational approaches in the field of youth work.

This project is for people who:

  • have led youth programs before (training courses/workshops/learning activities)
  • have a portfolio of youth programs you led
  • will facilitate activities within 6 months after the training course(s)
  • are able to clearly communicate in English (intermediate level)
  • over 18 years old

Selection: Priority will be given to those who commit to the 2 training courses and already have or are part of an active youth organisation where they can implement educational activities, as we believe that the maximum learning impact will come from attending the whole learning cycle and putting into practice the new experiences immediately.

What can you expect?

The elements of this professional program are designed to cater to different needs, the three trainings build on each other while having the flexibility to be applied separately.

  • 3 residential training courses in Hungary
  • Mentoring support for implementing your own educational program
  • Group coaching based on professional topics and the needs of the group
  • Individual coaching for learning needs during the training courses
  • Special materials and evaluation tools
  • Certification at the end of the 3 modules
  • The possibility to join the Egyesek Trainers’ Hub, an evergrowing community of educators all over Europe, who have been through the educational cycle of Egyesek – meetings, support, partnerships, innovation

Project build-up

The project is built as a holistic unit, where the 3 training courses are interconnected. The design of the educational content is need-based: we start from a pre-designed curriculum while keeping the flexibility to accommodate your learning needs as a participant. Each of the training courses will address a different focus.

1st training – Basics of Trainership – Skills and approaches for efficient group processes
Dates:
30 November – 8 December 2023
In the first training, we will work a lot with group dynamics and state management, practical tools and methods to work with groups in an efficient manner.
ALREADY TOOK PLACE!

2nd training – Self-coaching – Self-reflection and personal development
Dates: 3-10 March 2024
The second training will focus a lot on professional identity through personal development, and how to position ourselves as trainers/facilitators/youth workers.

3rd training – Advanced training for trainers – Real-life practice
Dates:
September 2024*
The third training already puts into real-life practice all the competences gained in the first 2 trainings. The idea is that the participants will be trained on the job, while already leading the educational program for a group of young people.

*Exact dates are flexible as of now and will be set on the second training.

Experts behind the scenes

The professional leader of the project is Afonso Bértolo.
Afonso is an experienced trainer, youth worker, and project manager, with a background in Clinical Psychology (Master’s degree). Since 2009 he has been involved in youth work, project management, and community intervention in several international contexts around the world. In practical terms, and within the frame YiA/LLP/E+, he has led training courses and youth exchanges and has coordinated and mentored volunteers facing fewer opportunities.
